Police are looking for two teenage boys wanted for stealing candy from an 8-year-old boy and taping him to a pole Monday at a park in northwest suburban Huntley.

Two brothers, 6 and 8, were using outdoor fitness equipment about 1 p.m. at a park near the Stingray Bay water park, 12219 Lois Lane in Huntley, when the teens approached them on bikes, according to a statement from Huntley police.

One of them grabbed the older boy’s wrist, took his candy and duct taped his wrist to a pole on the fitness equipment, police said. The suspects then left the park and the younger brother asked a park employee for help.

The employee cut the duct tape and contacted the boys’ mother, who called police.

The suspects were described as teen boys wearing black shorts and black and green T-shirts with “Fortnite” logos, police said. They were last seen riding toward Mill Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 847-515-5311. Anonymous tips can be submitted at 847-515-5333.
