Lancashire Police put a dispersal order in place yesterday evening after a "spike" in anti-social behaviour.
Police in Skelmersdale have been called to "multiple" incidents of anti-social behaviour this week and a Section 34 Dispersal Order, under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act was put in place from 8pm until midnight on Tuesday evening.
Earlier this week the Tawd Valley play area was set on fire and has been so badly damaged that it has been "ruined for children and families to enjoy". Yesterday police were called to the Concourse Shopping Centre after it was reported that a group of 20 teens had set a number of pallets on fire.

The officers responding to the reports then had projectiles thrown at their car causing damage to their vehicles. Enquiries are now ongoing to find those responsible.
A post on the Skelmersdale Police Facebook page said: "We would like to make it clear that we do not tolerate this behaviour. Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible and please rest assured that police will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area.
"Your local neighbourhood police team are asking - do you know where your children are in the evening? Are they coming home smelling of smoke or accelerants? We would like to ask parents to educate their children about the potentially fatal consequences of fires and their actions when causing ASB.
"We ask that you ask them, “where are you going tonight?” and talk about consequences. We don’t want one bad decision to stand in the way of their future.
"If anyone has any information about the fires, please contact Lancashire Police quoting log LC-20220919-1049 (Park fires) or log LC-20220920-1155 (Damage to Fire Engine)."
