Teens rushed to hospital after being savagely attacked by group armed with golf clubs in Marlay Park

Two teenagers were taken to hospital last night after they were savagely attacked by a group of youths in a south Dublin park.

The injured boys were taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Crumlin after the vicious assault by the gang of armed thugs.

It's understood some of the gang were armed with golf clubs which were used in the broad daylight attack.

A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live they are investigating the incident.

She said: "Gardaí in Rathfarnham are investigating an assault that occurred in Marlay Park, on Tuesday evening 16 June, 2020 at approximately 6.30p.m.

"Two youths were assaulted by a number of youths. Both youths attended CHI Children’s Hospital, Crumlin   for their injuries which are non-life threatening.

"Investigations ongoing."
