Two schoolchildren suffered injuries after an assault in broad daylight in Helensburgh.
The incident happened at around 6pm on Sunday, May 9 on Camis Eskan Farm Road when “a large group of young people from Helensburgh and Dumbarton” gathered.
A 15-year-old boy suffered a serious head injury and a 15-year-old girl sustained minor injuries as a result.
Detective Constable Rachel Mersey said: “We are carrying out enquiries and have spoken to a number of witnesses already.
“We know that a large group of young people from Helensburgh and Dumbarton had arranged to meet at Camis Eskan Farm Road, Helensburgh.
“A fight broke out amongst the group and a 15 year male who was injured by another young male, aged around 15 years old with blonde hair. A 15 year old female was also assaulted.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact police. If anyone has any information as to the identity of the person responsible or anyone else involved in the disorder we urge them to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2857 of May 9 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
