Teens have chance to win a bike with treasure hunt this weekend

All sorts of prizes will be up for grabs in Rutherglen this weekend when a treasure hunt for young people gets under way.

Organised by Healthy n’ Happy community trust, the event is aimed at 10 to 18 year olds from Rutherglen and Cambuslang who have the chance to win a bike, flip out tickets, Scotkart vouchers, VIP tickets to a CamGlen radio gig night and many more coveted items.

Participants will be given a series of clues that will direct them to buildings they know in Rutherglen and Cambuslang before they arrive at Rutherglen Library and are entered into the Everybody’s a Winner Tombola.

Running from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, October 26, people can start the treasure hunt at any of the following venues: Bike Town, the Healthy n Happy stall at Rutherglen Exchange, Rutherglen Library, Number 18 and CamGlen studios.

The treasure hunt is part of a national drive to increase access to libraries and assess how young people access health and wellbeing information.
