Teens face attempted murder charges over alleged bashing at Milton apartment

Police in Milton on Saturday, where a 17-year-old was allegedly beaten by a group, with the incident leaving him in a coma.

Two men accused of the attempted murder of a teenage boy at an apartment in inner Brisbane on the weekend have had their matters heard in court.

Police alleged Lasender Sheriff, 18, and Dut Acot, 19, were part of a group of 12 people who attended a gathering at the Milton complex in the early hours of Saturday morning and attacked the boy.

It will be alleged 10 children, aged between 15 and 17, were involved in the incident, with some expected to face the Childrens Court today.

The 17-year-old alleged victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a coma in intensive care.

Mr Sheriff and Mr Acot are facing one count each of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm, with their cases briefly mentioned in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.

Mr Sheriff and Mr Acot did not appear, and their matters were adjourned.

The lawyer for Mr Sheriff told the court, her client would make a bail application later this month.

Both were remanded in custody and will return to court within the next two months.
