A girl and three boys suspected of murdering a man outside a shopping parade remain in custody, police said today.
Connor Dockerty was stabbed to death in Kingsway, in Huyton, just after 8pm on Monday, April 19.
The 23-year-old from Litherland was riding his black Ghost bike along Kingsway shortly before the savage killing.
He was in or close to Gentwoods News and Convenience Store when it is believed he became involved in an argument.
It has emerged the man was riding the bike minutes before the killing and had a conversation with a group of "males and females," police said.
Yesterday police arrested four children on suspicion of murder - two boys, aged 15, a girl, 15 and a boy, aged 14.
Today police said they will continue to be questioned by detectives over the murder which has appalled Merseyside residents and seen floral tributes left at the scene of the stabbing.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "The suspects remain in custody at this time."
Bouquets of flowers, candles and a photo of Mr Dockerty have been placed outside Liver Launderette at the corner of the shopping parade.

One message signed "from Bean" said: "Never enough to describe how much your gonna be missed lad, can't believe it, fly high bro. Rest easy, Con".
Witnesses watched in horror as a teenager confronted Connor, throwing a red bike at him, which knocked him over.
The killer then produced two knives and used one of them to stab the 23-year-old repeatedly to his body as he lay on the floor.

A post mortem examination revealed he died from multiple stab wounds.
Mr Dockerty's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
An investigation is ongoing and detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who has any information to come forward.
Detectives are keen to piece together the last movements of the victim before he was viciously knifed on Kingsway.
After the fatal attack, two boys were seen riding along Kingsway, in the direction of the Swan pub at the opposite end of that road.
