Teenagers hospitalised after car hits pole and flips in South Australia's Riverland

Two seriously injured teenagers were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. (ABC News: Michael Clements)

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital and three others have minor injuries after a car crashed and flipped in South Australia's Riverland early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Garrett Road in Glossop after the black Suzuki Vitara crashed into a Stobie pole and landed on its roof about 1:30am.

Two passengers in the back of the car — a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy — were seriously injured and flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The 16-year-old driver and two other teenage passengers suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, a woman has been taken to the Flinders Medical Centre after a car hit a tree at Pasadena in Adelaide's south this morning.

Police said patrols called to the scene — on Gunther Parade just before 1:30am — found the Ford sedan "but the driver was nowhere to be seen".

A police dog tracked a scent to a nearby home and found the woman, who had minor injuries.

"Investigations are continuing in relation to the driver of the car," police said.
