Teenagers arrested after police called to reports of people on pub roof

Two teenagers have been arrested after police were called to reports of people on a pub roof.

South Wales Police cordoned off the road at Victoria Square, Aberdare on Saturday, July 24.

Images from the scene show a number of police officers, cordoned off streets and several members of the public watching.

A spokesperson for the force said they received a call at around 7.25pm about the incident.

A statement said: "South Wales Police were called to reports of people on a roof in Victoria Square, Aberdare at around 7.25pm yesterday, July 24. A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage."

At the time of the incident, a police spokesperson said there were a number of officers at the scene on Victoria Square at the time of the incident and "crowd control" was put in place. They added: "There is no immediate threat."
