Teenagers arrested after boy, 16, robbed at knifepoint in park

Two teenagers were arrested in connection with an incident in which a 16-year-old boy was threatened with a knife and robbed.

It happened at Thatto Heath Park in St Helens at around 8.45pm on Saturday, February 8.

Police said the victim had his mobile phone and cash taken by two offenders, one of whom made threats with a knife. The victim was unhurt but left distressed.

Following enquiries, a 15-year-old boy from Manchester and a 16-year-old boy from St Helens were located and arrested on suspicion of robbery and interviewed.

They have both been released on conditional bail until Wednesday, February 26.
