Teenagers aged 16 to 18 will be able to watch City and United play in Europe for a fiver... here's what you need to know

Young football fans who have a new free bus pass will have the chance to watch Manchester United or Man City for as little as a fiver this season.

Bosses behind the new 'Our Pass' scheme have announced a series of offers with the city's football giants.

The travel cards, available to 16 to 18-year-olds, give youngsters free bus travel across Greater Manchester. There's a £10 administration fee to get one.

The passes also provide free - or discounted - access to a range of cultural venues.

Premier League champions City are offering Our Pass holders the chance to attend a UEFA Champions League group stage game for just £5.

The offer is available for the Blues' home games against Atalanta, on October 22, and Shakhtar Donetsk, on November 26.

Curzon Ashton, FC United, Oldham Athletic and Radcliffe FC are also backing the scheme.

Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, said: “I want Our Pass to open the doors of the best places in Greater Manchester to young people of all backgrounds.

"I don’t want anyone to be left outside because they can’t afford the cost of travel or tickets.

“That’s why I’m so grateful to our two great clubs for joining forces and getting behind Our Pass.

"Their support takes it up to a new level and sends such a powerful and positive message to the young people of Greater Manchester."
