A boy who fell to his death from a plane leaving Kabul's airport hoped to start a new life in Canada, his heartbroken family say.
Reza, 17, was with his 16-year-old brother Kabeer when he tried to flee the Taliban advance on Afghanistan's capital.
Horrifying footage shows the moment Reza fell off a US military plane he was clinging to and plunged to the ground below.
The heartbreaking scene was likened to images of Americans jumping out of the Twin Towers on 9/11.
Reza's body has been identified and recovered, however the family are still searching for Kabeer.
VICE World News, which broke the story, has changed both of the boys' names to protect their family.

Reza's family discovered he had died after a relative rang his phone and a stranger answered.
The person then told the relative they had found Reza's phone.
The family rushed to the airport and were taken to the student's body.
One relative told VICE they hope to find Kabeer 'dead or alive' as it will 'console' the family.

They added: "We are worried, and we went from one hospital to another, but we didn’t get any information.
“His mother is devastated, she is passing out every now and then.”
The boys, who are the eldest of eight siblings, rushed to the airport after hearing a rumour about 20,000 people being relocated to Canada or the US.
The brothers had never experienced life under Taliban rule.
Reza passed away in chaotic scenes at the airport on Monday.

At least three people died when they fell from the C-17 aircraft after take off, reports say.
The horrifying scene unfolded as huge crowds gathered on the tarmac at Kabul's airport in a desperate bid to board planes and escape an Afghanistan ruled by the Taliban.
A Kabul news agency previously reported: "Locals near Kabul airport claim that three young men who were holding themselves tightly in the wheels of an aeroplane fell on top of people's houses.
“One of the locals confirmed this and said that the fall of these people made a loud and terrifying noise.”
