Teenager who died after getting into difficulty in water at beauty spot named

A TEENAGER who died at a beauty spot after getting into difficulty in water near Callander has been named by police.

Emergency services were called to Bracklinn Falls, Stirlingshire, at around 6.45pm after receiving reports of concern for a person who had gotten into difficulty in the water.

The body of 16-year-old Charlie Noble was recovered from the water later that evening.

Police said Noble’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police and emergency services were called to a report of concern for a person at Bracklinn Falls at around 6.45pm on Thursday, 28 May, 2026.

“The body of the 16-year-old was recovered from the water later that evening.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
