Teenager to appear in court charged in relation to murder of Cork man Cameron Blair

A teenager will appear before a special sitting of Cork City District Court this evening at 9pm, charged in relation to the murder of Cameron Blair.

The juvenile male, aged in his late teens, was arrested on Thursday over the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Cameron at a house party last week.

Cameron Blair died following an incident on Bandon Road in Cork city centre on January 16.

The popular Cork Institute of Technology student passed away at Cork University Hospital beside his heartbroken parents Kathy and Noel.

Speaking at Anglesea Street Garda Station, Chief Superintendent Barry McPolin said "Today’s charges into the murder of Cameron Blair highlights that we in An Garda Síochána are continuing our unrelenting efforts in tackling serious crime.

"We have had a number of serious, unrelated, incidents in Cork city over the last number of months and I want to ensure the public that An Garda Síochána has the ability and determination to bring these people to justice.”
