Teenager taken to hospital with 'serious injury' after motorbike fall

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after falling off a motorbike.

Emergency services were scrambled to York Avenue, in the Shakerley area of Tyldesley, on Sunday afternoon (February 14).

According to the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), a teenage boy suffered a 'serious leg injury' after coming off a motorbike.

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended.

An NWAS spokesman told the Manchester Evening News : "We received a call at 15:31 reporting that someone had fallen off a motorbike.

"We sent an ambulance and rapid response vehicle to the scene, we’ve taken a teenage boy to hospital suffering a serious leg injury."
