Two incidents in Kilwinning led to a teenager being taken to hospital – and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
A 16-year-old had to attend Kilmarnock's Crosshouse Hospital after a disturbance around 6.15pm yesterday involving "a number of people" on McGavin Way, near Kilwinning railway station.
A nearby incident is being linked after two 21-year-olds suffered minor injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a disturbance involving a group of people on McGavin Way, Kilwinning, around 6.15pm on Monday, September 13.
“A 16-year-old male youth was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
“Two 21-year-old men also suffered minor injuries in a further disturbance nearby, which is being treated as linked.
“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information related to it should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 2744 of September 13.”
