Teenager taken to hospital after 'large disturbance' in Swansea city centre

A teenager has been taken to hospital following a large disturbance outside a leisure centre in Swansea .

Police were called to Oystermouth Road near the LC2 in the city centre at around 4.45pm on Saturday to an incident involving a group of young people.

One boy has been taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokeswoman from South Wales Police said: "A cordon is in place and there is a significant police presence in the city centre while enquiries continue to identify those responsible."

A statement was also released by LC2 on social media.

It said: "Dear all, currently there is a police matter ongoing next to our building on the waterfront green. We are still open as normal.

"Whilst this takes place we have opened our back fire doors to the buildings as a temporary entrance."
