Teenager suffers serious head injuries after falling off electric scooter

A teenage boy was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after falling from an electric scooter.

An Air Ambulance scrambled to the scene on Moss Grove, off Lodge Lane in Toxteth after the incident at 3pm on Monday.

One witness told the ECHO the teen, thought to be a 16-year-old boy, had "bad facial and head injuries."

The Air Ambulance landed at the back of Chaplins pub before the crew rushed to help at the scene.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3pm yesterday and took a patient to hospital.

"We attended with an Air Ambulance and advanced paramedic before the patient was taken by road ambulance to hospital. He has a head injury."

Paramedics and the Air Ambulance crew treated the boy for nearly 50 minutes at the scene.
