Teenager stabbed to death in Northwick Park in North London

Police put a cordon around Northwick Park station

A teenager has died after being stabbed in a park in North London.

Police were called at 3.50pm to Northwick Park , Harrow, on Thursday following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended and found a male, believed to be aged 17, suffering stab injuries.

He was given first aid at the scene by officers prior to the arrival of LAS , but despite  best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said his next of kin have been informed.

There have been no arrests made at this time.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said a crime scene is in place and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. As part of the investigation a cordon was put around the station, which was closed.

The spokesperson said: "Anyone who has information, video or images that could assist police should call 101 re CAD 4735/12 Nov.

"No detail you might have is too small - every bit of information helps towards the fight against knife crime in London.
