Teenager stabbed outside Leeds Morrisons and 15-year-old boy arrested

A teenage boy was arrested last night after an 18-year-old was stabbed near a Morrisons convenience store in Leeds on Thursday evening.

Police were called to Selby Road last night after hearing reports of a man injured near the McColl's store.

When police arrived, they had found the man who had been stabbed in his arms and legs.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The man's injuries are not life threatening.

A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "At 7.24pm last night, police were called to Selby Road, Leeds, after an 18-year-old man was stabbed near to the Morrisons convenience store.

"He received injuries to his arm and leg which required hospital treatment but were not life threatening.

"A 15-year-old male was subsequently arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent in relation to the incident.

"He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing by Leeds District CID."
