Teenager stabbed in the street in Sale

A teenager was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the street in Trafford.

The 17-year-old man was knifed on Hurst Avenue, off Cherry Lane, in Sale just before 6.50pm on Wednesday (November 6).

He was taken to hospital and remains in a 'stable' condition, police said.

No one has been arrested.

Police said enquiries are ongoing.

A GMP spokesman said: "Shortly before 6.50pm on Wednesday 6 November 2019, police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed on Hurst Avenue off Cherry Lane in Sale.

"Officers attended and a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 2645 of 07/11/2019, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
