Teenager stabbed in large disturbance involving 90 youths

Detectives are appealing for information after a 19 year-old was seriously injured following a large scale disturbance in Eglinton Country Park, Kilwinning on Wednesday, may 15.

Around 8.20pm, police were called to a report of a man seriously assaulted following a large-scale disturbance involving around 90 youths near to Eglinton Castle within Eglinton Country Park.

The injured 19 year-old man was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock where he was treated for stab wounds then later released.

Detective Constable George Robertson of Saltcoats Police Office is appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information that will assist his investigation to contact Saltcoats Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 4229 of 17 May 2019.
