A teenager has been stabbed in Easterhouse sparking a police probe.

A 16-year-old has been hospitalised after a serious assault last night in Langbar Crescent at around 7.45pm.

The youth was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Detective Constable Nicola Baird said: “Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the attack are ongoing and we’re asking for anyone with information, or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, to please come forward.

“You can contact police on 101, quoting incident 3743 of 18 August, 2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
