Teenager stabbed and bike stolen as boy, 14, is arrested on suspicion of robbery

A 14-year-old boy from Halewood has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Officers made the arrest in the early hours of November 25, following reports a boy had his mountain bike stolen on Sunday night.

The incident happened near Speke Boulevard in Halewood.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was allegedly stabbed in the arm, causing superficial injuries and he was taken to hospital for treatement.

The suspect remains in custody whilst officers investigate the matter.

A spokesperson for Knowsley Police said: "Officers arrested a 14-year-old Halewood male on suspicion of robbery during the early hours of this morning, following reports that a youth had his bike stolen last night near to Speke Boulevard.

"During the incident the 16 year old victim was stabbed in the arm causing superficial injuries which have been treated at hospital.

"The suspect in this matter remains in custody at this time whilst officers investigate the matter."
