Teenager spots 'evil face' in picture he took at Newsham Park Hospital

A teenage urban explorer claims he and other people can see an 'evil face' in a picture taken at an abandoned hospital.

Oliver Fisher, from Wirral , said he visited the Newsham Park Hospital with other explorers and was taking photos inside the 'Naughty Boy's Corridor' back in March.

However, it wasn't until recently, when the 19-year-old was going back through his pictures that he noticed a "strange face" in a doorway - which he believes is "the devil."

Speaking to the ECHO , Oliver said: "We visited the 'Naughty Boy's Corridor' at Newsham Park Hospital and we were just taking pictures around there.

"It's apparently where young boys were killed and I was just taking pictures randomly and then when I was going through them I saw that.

"I think it's the devil, it's a sinister face and quite a few people thought they saw something strange."

Oliver Fisher, 19, took the photo at the Newsham Park Hospital and belives it shows a "sinister face" (Oliver Fisher)

The picture shows a 'spooky' white, small shadow at the top centre of the doorway, that Oliver and others believe to be a demonic figure.

The teenager posted the image on social media after he saw a similar photo online and said a lot of people responded saying they could also see a 'face'.

Newsham Park Hospital isn't shy of reports of haunting and spooky happenings over the years.

It was originally built as an orphanage, but was later converted to a hospital, with a focus on patients with mental health issues.

On the top floor, an attic is lined with cupboards - which were used as ‘naughty’ cupboards to lock misbehaving children inside.

In 1879, a sanatorium was erected on the site, before finally turning into Newsham Park Hospital in 1954 and then closed in 1992 after which the building has fallen into a state of disrepair.

Since its closure the site has become a hotspot for urban explorers and paranormal investigations and is commonly believed to be one of the most haunted buildings in Liverpool.
