A teenager is in hospital with serious injuries after he was attacked on Dublin's O'Connell Street on Saturday afternoon.
The 18-year-old male was assaulted after leaving a premises on the busy street around 3:30pm and rushed to the Mater Hospital.
His injuries are described as serious but are not believed to be life threatening.
Gardai arrested another 18-year-old man a short time later but he has since been released.
Investigations into the attack are ongoing with gardai appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.

A garda spokesperson said: "A man, 18 years, was seriously injured after he left a premises on O'Connell Street. The injured man was removed to The Mater Hospital and is being treated for his injuries which are described as serious.
"The suspect offender fled the scene and after initial enquiries by members from Store Street, the suspect (18 years) was arrested a short time later.
"He was taken to Store Street Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He was released in the early hours of this morning Sunday 8th March, 2020 and investigations are ongoing.
"Gardaí in Store Street are appealing to any persons who may have witnessed the assault on O'Connell Street, Dublin 1 on Saturday afternoon between 3.30pm and 4pm to contact them at Store Street Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
