Teenager’s body found after car crashes into river

  • A teenage girl's body has been recovered after a car carrying five teenagers crashed into the River Nene in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday evening.
  • The vehicle, with occupants aged 16 to 18, left the road near Wisbech at approximately 8:20pm.
  • Three of the occupants – two females and one male – managed to escape and were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
  • Searches are continuing for a male teenager who remains unaccounted for following the incident.
  • Cambridgeshire Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
