Teenager's big day ruined as her make-up artist ditches her to go on Love Island

A teenager has had prom ruined after the make-up artist she booked is now appearing on Love Island.

Shocked Luisa Tebbutt had paid a £20 deposit to be glammed up by Belle Hassan - the latest bombshell to enter the villa.

However, the 18-year-old was left dumbfounded after seeing news of Belle's entrance into the reality TV series plastered across her Instagram feed.

The student said she was "frustrated" to have found the news out through social media and joked she may not have her deposit refunded.

And she said her look has been jeopardised for her ball next Wednesday as she will have to go to a make-up artist she is less familiar with.

Luisa, of Maidstone, Kent, said: "I was really excited to have my make-up done by Belle because she's really talented.

"And I was devastated to find out the news on an Instagram story rather than from her herself.

"I was excited to look all glammed up for prom with my make-up done by such a good artist."

She added: "It's going to be hard to find a make-up artist available at such late notice now. It's very stressful".

Luisa, a student at Maidstone Girls Grammar School, said she found Belle's business via Instagram after being let down by another make-up artist.

She booked the appointment on Tuesday, June 4 - giving the new Love Island star a month to prepare.

After slowly realising the session would probably be cancelled, Luisa took to Twitter to share the hilarious news.

She wrote: "Just looking through ig stories to find the girl who I paid a £20 deposit to do my prom makeup on Wednesday is walking into the love island villa tomorrow.

"LOVE THAT £loveisland".

Despite admitting she was disappointed by her treatment, Luisa wanted to stress that she wished the beautician no ill will.

She said: "I don't want to paint her to be a nasty girl at all - it was just disappointing to not find out from her."

The Bromley-born beautician has already hit headlines after it was revealed her father is Game of Thrones actor Tamer Hassan.

A representative on her Instagram account insisted she would be taking over all of Belle’s appointments to ensure the business continues to run smoothly.
