Teenager rushed to hospital after Arthur's Seat rescue operation in Edinburgh

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after being rescued from Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh .

Emergency services rushed to the aid of the 18-year-old at the city centre landmark just after 3:20pm this afternoon.

A special operations response unit and one ambulance were dispatched to the incident.

The teenager was then rushed to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary .

It is unclear at this stage what and how severe the young man's injuries are.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 3.22pm to attend an incident at Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh.

"One ambulance and our special operations response teams were dispatched to the scene and an 18-year-old male patient was extracted by our SORT crews and taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further assessment.”
