Teenager robbed on board Glasgow train by 'gang of boys'

Police are probing claims a teenage boy was robbed by a group of men on board a train in Glasgow .

British Transport Police were alerted to the incident at Bellgrove train station in the east end of the city at 9.37pm on Wednesday.

One horrified passenger claimed the thugs made off with a number of the boy’s items during the incident.

She wrote on Facebook : “There was a 13-year-old boy who was jumped last night at Bellgrove train station at around 9.30pm by a group of men.

“My partner was coming down the stairs as the vile human beings who did this to the boy were running away with his stuff.”

Cops have now confirmed that they are investigating the claims.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Bellgrove station at 9:37pm on March 4 following reports a teenage boy had been robbed on board a train. 

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
