Teenager released by police following death of man in Maryhill flat

A teenager arrested in connection with the death of a man in Glasgow has been released by police.

The victim, named locally as Steven Clark, 45, was found dead in his second floor home in a block of flats on Carrbridge Drive, Maryhill, on Monday October 14.

A 19-year-old was cuffed by cops but has since been release as officers continue their probe.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 19 year old man, who was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with the death of a man whose body was found within a flat on Carrbridge Drive, Maryhill, Glasgow, on Monday, 14 October, has been released pending further enquiries."

Cops yesterday locked down the nine-story block and put a cordon up around the entrance.

It is understood Steven - known in the area as “Clarky” - was the victim of an assault last year.

A man was later jailed for four months.
