A teenager who was 'equipped for theft' was arrested by police last night.
The 18-year-old was apprehended on Crow Lane West in Newton-le-Willows as part of late night patrol on Tuesday, March 1.
Upon conducting a stop search, officers found a balaclava, a knife, gloves and cannabis.

The teen was taken into custody and charged with going equipped for theft and possession of a controlled drug and taken to spend the night in police cells.
In a statement, Merseyside Police said: "Officers conducting a high vis patrol late last night have arrested an 18-year-old boy after he was stop searched on Crow Lane West and found in possession of cannabis, a balaclava, gloves and a lock knife.

"He was arrested for going equipped for theft and possession of a controlled drug and taken to spend the night in custody."
