Teenager left with facial injuries after being attacked by two men in Kilmarnock

A 16-year-old has been left with facial injuries after being attacked by two men in Kilmarnock last week.

Police have launched an investigation after the teenager was walking on a path near to the roundabout on Methven Avenue at Turnberry Drive in Shortlees on Thursday, April 25 at 5.10pm, when two men got out a car and assaulted him.

Man rushed to hospital after being seriously assaulted in Hurlford flat  

The victim was taken to Crosshouse Hospital, where he was treated for facial injuries, then later released.

The suspects are both described as being in their late teens to early twenties and around 5ft 10 inches in height. One of them had blond hair in a side parting swept to the side and the other had short brown hair.

Detective Constable Stevie Williams from Kilmarnock CID said: “We are still reviewing CCTV images from in and around the area to gain more information this incident and the two men responsible.

"The area would have been busy on Thursday afternoon, and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident take place, or who has any information that will assist our investigation to come forward.
