A teenager was left seriously injured after being attacked in a park in Trafford.
The 16-year-old was the victim of a "serious assault" at Davyhulme Park police said.
Officers were called to the park on Crofts Bank Road at around 6pm on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Trafford North division said in a post on social media.
They then discovered the 16-year-old who had suffered serious injuries to his leg.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 16-year-old boy was "quickly located" and arrested following another assault on another young male victim nearby the police said.
He was held on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remains in custody for questioning with enquiries ongoing GMP added.
"The investigation is ongoing and we will continue to provide passing attention to the area on a regular basis," their post said.
