Teenager killed in early morning horror crash on Scots road named by police

A teenager who died after an early morning horror crash on a Scots road has been named by police.

Kieran Knox from the Fallin area near Stirling was killed after his car crashed off the road on the A9 near Dunblane on Saturday.

Kieran was the driver and only person in his blue Peugeot 206 which left  the road near the Queen Victoria School junction at Dunblane around 7.30am.

Emergency services raced to the scene and the young man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

He sadly died the next morning of his injuries. 

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

A statement issued by Forth Valley division tonight reads: "Enquiries into the collision remain ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference number 0876 of 12 December."

Shocked locals have expressed their grief on social media.

One wrote: "Such sad news, my thoughts are with his family and friends."

Another added: "So sad. Fly high with the angels. Thoughts are with this young man's family.
