Three teenagers were targeted in what has been described as a "violent attack" leaving one with a number of head injuries.
Merseyside Police said at around 9.15pm on Friday, September 23, officers received reports three teenage boys had been assaulted in Marine Gardens, Waterloo., by a group of about 10 youths. A bike and mobile phones were stolen during the attack which happened just after 8.30pm.
The group approached the teenage boys and assaulted one of them leaving him with injuries to his head and face leaving him needing hospital treatment. The group then fled down nearby South Road.

An investigation has since been launched and police have issued an image of the stolen bicycle as they believe it could help with their inquiries. A 14-year-old boy from Sefton was arrested on suspicion of robbery yesterday, Saturday, September 24, and later released on bail.
Officers are continuing to examine CCTV footage in the area and to take witness statements. Anyone who saw the attack, or with any information, is asked to contact police. Detective Inspector Peter McCullough said: "This was a violent attack on a group of young boys that has left one of them with several injuries.
"We simply will not stand by and allow people to harm and threaten the safety of others in our community. The bike is described as a black Carrera Helcat and extensive enquiries are ongoing to locate the items stolen and the people responsible.
"If you were in Marine Gardens last night at around 8.30pm and saw this incident then please come forward. Similarly, if you were driving on South Road and have dashcam footage then please review it and if you see anything, including the bike or the group of offenders, please let us know.

"Tell us what you know about this incident and we’ll take positive action to remove those who cause fear and harm in our communities from our streets."
