Teenager injured in explosion

A 16-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in a suspected crude bomb explosion at Kayappanachi near Nadapuram on Monday. Shordar Ibrahim reportedly sustained injuries when he tried to throw away the explosive stuff around 10.30 a.m. The fingers on his left hand suffered second degree burns in the incident. With the support of a few local residents, he was taken to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital in Kannur district. The Nadapuram police reached the spot to carry out an investigation into the incident.
