A WOMAN was left “badly shaken” after a disgusting teenage pervert indecently exposed himself to her on a public canal path.
Police are appealing for information following the troubling incident, which took place at around 12.45pm yesterday, July 7.
A 24-year-old woman was walking along the path, between Carnbroe and Calderbank, when she saw a male youth exposing himself.
The youth is described as “white, aged in his mid-teens, with blonde hair” and was wearing a red hooded top and blue jogging trousers.
The woman ran off and sought help from a passing cyclist; she was described as being “badly shaken” by the shocking encounter.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Lawrence said: “This area is popular with local people and is often used by walkers and cyclists.
“I am asking people who were in the area around the time of the incident to think back and consider if they saw this youth.
“Perhaps you saw him and thought nothing of it; but in light of this crime, what you saw could assist our enquiries in identifying and tracing him, so please do get in touch.”
