A teenager has appeared in court in connection with an attempted murder in Dumbarton.
Nathan Reid, 18, has been charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life.
It follows an incident on Saturday, April 17 where a 29-year-old man was injured on a dirt track near the gas works off Castlegreen Street in Dumbarton East.
Reid, of Dumbarton, appeared in private at the town’s court yesterday (Wednesday) where he made no plea.
He was released on bail with his next appearance to be confirmed.
