A teenager was hauled in front of court for slamming his bedroom door - after his mum called the police.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, used such force that the knob fell off following an argument between the pair.
A youth hearing was told that the woman then called in the cops - instead of just giving the boy a stern telling off.

The boy made full admissions when he was interviewed by police and pleaded guilty to criminal damage at Swindon Youth Court yesterday (Mon).
Sentencing him to a three-month conditional discharge, chairman of the bench Linda Raine said: “We hope that this is the last of your offending and now life is looking good for you and you can move on.”
