Teenager 'hospitalised' after ticket inspector slams him onto tracks

Shocking footage has emerged of two tram ticket inspectors throwing a teenager onto the tracks.

Two men in orange high-vis jackets were seen on top of the youngster at Blubell Lluas tram stop in Dublin, Ireland on Friday.

He was reportedly hospitalised following the incident after the inspectors were seen pinning him down and sitting on him.

Stefan Manahan captured the incident on his mobile phone as his tram waited on the opposite side of the tracks and branded the inspectors "scumbags."

The video shows the lad trying to grab a notepad from one of the men as the other man speaks on his radio.

But as the teen gets closer, one of them appears to restrain him by placing him into a headlock before slamming him on to the tracks.

The lad manages to get up onto the platform but the inspector then pins him down while the other one grabs the lad by his legs.

In the background a stunned passenger can be heard saying "this is... this is an abuse of power now".

Sharing the footage on Facebook Stephen wrote: "These f***ing scumbags.

"Share this around and help find this lad to get him this video.

"Just before I filmed they took something off him and were dragging out of him.

"From my experience they have been getting very abusive and power tripping lately."

A source close to the victim told The Sun: “I was absolutely appalled at what I saw happen to him in the clip.

"I know him well. He is a lovely, lovely young fella.”

A spokesman for tram operator Transdev said: "On completion of the investigation, having reviewed all of the facts we will take any appropriate action.

"Until then we have no further comment on this matter."
