Teenager hospitalised after being assaulted by group of thugs in Kilmarnock park

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted within Howard Park, Kilmarnock earlier this week.

The 18-year-old man was assaulted around 9.45pm on Thursday by three men in their 20s who were wearing dark clothing.

The injured man was treated for facial injuries at Crosshouse Hospital before being released.

A police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information should contact Kilmarnock CID via 101 quoting incident number 0800 of 16 August 2019.

"Alternatively calls can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
