Teenager held at knife point during daylight robbery in Clontarf, Dublin

A teenager was held at knife point during a daylight robbery in a leafy coastal suburb in Dublin.

The 16-year-old, whose mother has launched an appeal on social media to find his stolen items, was approached by two men on Thursday afternoon, Dublin Live reports.

During the robbery outside Mount Temple School in Clontarf, his grey Giant bike, Apple airpods, rose gold iPhone 7 and navy Canada Goose hybridge lite jacket were taken.

The mother is now appealing for anyone in the Dublin 1 or Dublin 3 area who may be offered the items for sale to contact gardai, who have launched an investigation into the scary attack.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 4.30pm on Thursday 7th May 2020 at Malahide Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3.

"Two males approached a male youth in his teens and threatened him with knives. A bike, a phone and a number of other items were taken. No injuries were reported.

"No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing."
