Teenager found seriously injured at Scots farm sparking dramatic rescue

A teenager has been found seriously injured at a Scots farm sparking a dramatic rescue.

Air ambulances and police were seen racing to Kirkcudbright after the alarm was raised at around 12.25pm on Wednesday July 21.

The 19-year-old was discovered badly hurt and rushed to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The teenagers injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police have now launched an investigation into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.25pm on Wednesday, 21 July, we received a report of a worker injured at a farm in the Kirkcudbright area.

"A 19-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

"Enquiries into the incident are being carried out alongside the Health and Safety Executive."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12:11pm to attend an incident on Tongland Road, Kirkcudbright.

"An ambulance crew and Helimed was dispatched and a male patient was transferred by road to Dumfries Royal Infirmary.”
