Police have confirmed a body found in a south Liverpool flat was that of an 18-year-old man.
A large emergency services presence was seen on Smithdown Road yesterday as two ambulances and two police cars were parked outside a property near the junction with Ramilies Road at about 1.30pm.
Police later said they were treating the death as unexplained.
They confirmed on Wednesday the teenager's death is being treated as non-suspicious. His next of kin has been informed, the force said.
A spokeswoman for the police said the young man's death has been referred to the Coroner's Office.
Speaking to the ECHO yesterday, police said: "Officers are assisting with enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident and have deemed the man’s death as unexplained at this time."
