Teenager fined after assaulting police officers at his home in Craigneuk

A teenager has been fined for assaulting police officers at his home in Craigneuk.

Nineteen-year-old Gregor Jackson appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week for sentencing having admitted attacking the male and female officers on September 9 last year.

On that date, at his home in Cowie Place, Jackson made threats of violence towards the male officer before head-butting him and trying to bite him on the body.

The female officer was then punched on the head and body.

Jackson was cleared of behaving in a threatening manner both in Cowie Place and whilst enroute to Motherwell Police Office.

Sheriff Ray Small fined the teenager £360.
