An 18-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in Cardiff.
His motorbike was involved in a crash with a car on Bishopston Road in Ely at around 3.05pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the area around 3.05pm and the man was airlifted to hospital .
Police have said the man, who was local, suffered life-threatening injuries and is being treated at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The crash involved a blue Ford Focus and a black and orange KTM motorcycle.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road, which was closed for several hours, has since reopened.
A statement from South Wales Police said: "Our Roads Policing Department are appealing for witnesses to the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision to contact them via 101 quoting reference 1900219512. "
