Police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy has died in a fatal crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Two others are recovering after the single-vehicle crash on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Finland Road in Bli Bli about 4pm to reports of a car rollover.

Authorities said the driver failed to negotiate a bend before the car hit an electricity pole and rolled into a cane field.

A 17-year-old boy sitting in the back of the car has died.

Two other boys aged 17 and 15 were taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or motorists with relevant dash cam vision, to contact them.
