Teenager 'critical' after being stabbed at Rutherglen train station

A teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after he was knifed at Rutherglen train station.

British Transport Police tweeted to confirm they were attending following the incident at around 5pm.

They tweeted: "We’re at Rutherglen station, Glasgow , following a stabbing. A teenage boy suffered several wounds and is in hospital in a critical condition."

Officers locked down the station to investigate but services are now running again, Scotrail confirm.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to text BTP on 61016 and quote reference 387-071019.
