A teenager has been charged with carrying out a cyber attack on the Greater Manchester Police website.
Liam Watts is also accused of targeting Cheshire Police 's site.
The 19-year-old of Stratford Road, Chorley, has been charged with two counts of unauthorised acts with intent to impair operation of or prevent/hinder access to a computer.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear Chester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 28.
Cheshire Police say the charges relate to two 'deliberate denial of service' attacks on the two forces' websites.
